This condition affects a multitude of people, and there are many examples of people being helped with insomnia through reflexology. My son’s 18-year-old friend was stressed out over a school project and experienced insomnia with the agitation that often comes with it. She wanted to be at her best to present the project so she asked for help. After her treatment she was balanced and able to sleep through the night.
I treated a woman who was 35 years old and had been having a terrible time having the energy to do anything. She came in for reflexology for fatigue, stooped over with obvious back issues and complaining about how unbelievably tired she was all the time. I treated her and she as able to stand up straight when she left. A few days later she called to thank me and said she had so much energy following her treatment that she went home and painted the outside of her house.
Reflexology for Heart Disease : The client with the story that stands out the most with heart disease was a 52-year-old man who was complaining about foot pain. As I worked on his foot I knew why he had so much foot pain. I asked him if there was a family history of heart disease, and he said yes. I advised him to seek medical advice as soon as possible because, as I said to him, the reflexes containing information about the heart were calling for immediate attention. He talked to the friend who advised him to see me and said he didn’t know if he could believe what I had told him. His friend said, “Don’t you think you owe it to your family to check it out, just in case she’s on to something?” He made a second appointment, and again I advised him to have a stress test at the very least. A week and a half later I was out of town and his friend called. He said the client had had a massive heart attack, and they didn’t know if he would make it. He did make it, and they said the reason was because he had two previous heart attacks that had let off just enough pressure that his heart didn’t explode.
I was at a seminar in Phoenix, Arizona, and during lunch break the restaurant was full so I decided to sit at the bar next to a wonderful lady who was also attending the seminar. We started to have a conversation and she mentioned she had a headache. I said I might be able to help her with that, performing reflexology for a headache, I worked on her hand to take her headache away in no time. She was amazed and asked if I ever traveled to Las Vegas. I had never been there but was planning a trip there with my son a few weeks later for his 21st birthday. She invited several friends to hear about reflexology, and they signed up for appointments. I worked on them for three days and have continued to travel to Las Vegas a few times a year to see clients connected to people I met the first trip and many others met on other trips.
Sometimes eating disorders are the result of a misalignment in the pelvic girdle. This was evident when I treated a 35-year-old woman who wished she could just live a normal life and eat like normal people with out obsessing over food choices, textures, where exactly it came from and all other thoughts concerning food presentation. We talked about any injuries in her past and her leg had been broken when she was only 9 months old. They didn’t know how it had happened because no one actually saw her get injured. Since at that age the personality is just revealing itself, I wondered if that could have had something to do with the food problem that she and her mother said had been there all along. I asked if she remembered ever injuring her tailbone and she did. This was a complicated situation and I treated her several times over a weekend, but when her pelvic girdle went back into alignment we heard a loud pop and she felt the shift. We checked to see if the flexibility in her body improved with the shift and it did. There seems to be a direct correlation between flexibility of mind and body. The quality of her life improved in surprising ways. Less that a year later I saw her mother who reported that she was back home looking for engagement rings.
Reflexology for depression: I treated a man who had been depressed for at least seven years, and, suffice it to say, it was very troubling to him because he was a psychiatrist. He had broken his leg which seemed to start his decline into depression. I treated him, after discussing the things that could happen because of how fast the release would be. But nothing could have prepared me for the story his friend told me about the night after his treatment. They went to dinner with friends and my client who had been withdrawn and depressed for years had to be told by the waitress to settle down or leave. It was amazing.
A young woman, age 33, came to be treated for chronic depression. She had been medicated for most of her life for the depression. I did her treatment and the depression lifted, but something even more fantastic happened. The years of medications she had taken released from her eyes and for several days following her treatment her eyes were very red and weeping. This would concern anyone, and my clients are free to contact me to discuss things they experience following reflexology treatments. She sent me a picture of her eyes releasing the stores of medicine that had been caught up in the tissues. I asked her how she felt and she said, “You can’t imagine how good it feels to show people who have not understood what I have lived with. I am so grateful to you and your reflexology.”
A mother who, by her own testimonial, had tried everything, brought her three-year-old son to me for chronic constipation he had suffered with from the time he was six months old and first introduced to solid food. I used the mother as a surrogate, did the treatment for getting the colon moving on her as she held her child and it was successful for about three days. The mother called for a second appointment. As I offered the treatment device used to stimulate the forearms to his mother, her child put his arms out and said, “No, me!” Following that treatment his mother wrote me a wonderful thank you card expressing their gratitude and reporting that constipation was no longer a problem for him.
A 23-year-old woman came into a business where I was working with weight management clients to experience an aqua massage bed. As I watched her crawl in, I thought, “Wow, that is a woman in a lot of pain!” When she finished, I asked her if she had ever tried reflexology to address her back pain. She said she had elsewhere, but would like to have a session. As I began I discovered the reason for her problem and brought it to her attention. I asked her if she was ready to heal her cystitis, and she was. Using ten reflexology sessions and aloe vera juice, she healed from chronic cystitis brought on by emotional and physical trauma. The amount of pain medication she had been on prior to her treatment was quite extensive, and her gratitude for healing and getting off those medications was evidenced when she referred a woman who had struggled with multiple sclerosis for 14 years to have a reflexology treatment by urging her to come because reflexology had saved her life.
A woman came to reflexology for circulation issues. She had been dealing with a life-long issue of cold hand and feet. In a matter of 5 minutes or less she reported feeling hot all over and wondered what I did to her hand to make that happen. I asked her to check in three days after her treatment to be sure the results were lasting. She did and the condition no longer affects her. I did the same treatment to a woman in a clothing boutique whose complexion was a little gray, with the same immediate results. Her complexion came back to a warm olive tone and she was warm all over. She now hands out my cards to her customers.
