Post Traumatic Stress
This story of a client who was treated with reflexology for Post Traumatic Stress (PTSD) involves the issue of child abuse and its long-lasting effect on the lives of many people. My client’s sister brought her to see me after watching her struggle with debilitating pain for most of her life. The client was on high doses of pain medication and having a difficult time mustering the strength needed for every day life. She wanted to stop using pain medication because she didn’t like the effect it had on her brain. Using reflexology, I treated areas representing her spine, hips, shoulders, and head. The biggest release came when she stopped shaking following the release of her hips and pelvis. She left feeling very relieved. At her second treatment she reported that she had decreased her pain medication significantly and was feeling much better.
